48th Annual VMBC Meet Details

Jay County Fairgrounds, Portland, IN, Home of the 2020
Edition of the Vintage Motor Bike Club Meet July 29-Aug 2, 2020.

March 14, 2020

It’s hard to believe Spring is here!!  I love this time of year – everything blooming, birds singing and more sunlight in the evening!  It’s also hard to believe it’s time for membership payments, especially if you are planning on attending the meet at the end of July.

For those of you planning on attending the meet, I won’t be mailing your registration card (or camping passes).  I will have envelopes at the check-in gate that will have your name on it and everything (hopefully!) that you need.  So, if you don’t’ want to wait in line for your license plate, pre-pay.  If it is a recognition year for you, you can pick up your pins in the 4-H Building on Thursday or Friday during registration hours.

There are around 40 premium sites available (water, sewage and electric) that are available on a first come, first served basis for $30 a night.  You will pay the $20/night fee at the check-in gate and the additional $10/night will be collected at your site.  If you have pre-paid you will pay the additional $10/night at your site.

Please use the designated Entrances and Exits.

For everyone’s safety, please drive carefully and observe the posted speed limits.

Your go-cart, etc. must be insured and proof of insurance is required.

There will be no go-carts, quads, three wheelers or anything over 54” allowed to be ridden on the fairgrounds.  There will be a measuring stick at the check-in gate to ensure that everyone adheres to this rule.

There is a new hotel within 20 miles of Portland – The Inn at Romer’s in St. Henry, OH.  Their phone# is 419-678-8645.

Should you have any questions, please call 260-251-8575 and leave a message.  I will call you back within 3-4 days, hopefully much sooner.

I think I have covered it all😊

Everyone have a wonderful Spring and I look forward to seeing you at the meet!!
