Yes, this is legal. I have done this myself with a Vespa that never ever had a title (and was sold new in Italy, not in the US). Many, many people in the Vespa & Lambretta community register their machines in Vermont due to lack of titles. It seems they are happy to register the machines in return for collecting your annual fee.

This :
“In Vermont it is illegal for a vehicle to be operated if it isn’t covered by a minimum amount of liability insurance. The minimum amount of liability insurance required is set by Vermont Statute (V.S.A., Title 23, Chapter 11, ยง800)”

Vermont Auto Insurance Laws & Regulations by NOLO
Vermont’s minimum required insurance coverage consists of:
$25,000 per person for bodily injuries,
$50,000 per accident, if more than one person is injured,
$10,000 per accident for property damage.
Vermont allows some drivers to avoid this requirement by filing a $115,000 surety bond with the state’s Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. The surety bond provides coverage in case of an accident.http://www.all-about-car-accidents.com/resources/insurance-law/car-insurance/vermont-auto-insurance-

Do you turn the fuel petcock off ? Maybe you don’t as the FA50 has an automatic fuel valve . But , IF you do , maybe place the oil petcock next to or very close to the fuel petcock ?

Tom ,
Your sister just called and said you should just give that bike to me . ๐
JK , of course . Looks like a fun little bike .

A little research turned this up :
Be sure to read page 3 . The last sentence deals with insurance .

Very interesting .
Kevin asks a good question .
More info is needed , Please .
Pete . ๐
That would be a problem , Darren .
Fortunately , my bike does not do that . The oil is not suppose to leak past the pump . How much oil does the motor go through ?
Maybe you need a new pump ?
PUMP, OIL

$87.49http://www.partspitstop.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d3eb15f8700230d8b4aebb/oil-pump
A less expensive option might be to install an in-line shut off valve ( $2.47 ):

So , maybe you should set an example ? ๐
Pics and their stories … Please .

Yer suppose to hold the fish real close to the camera and you stand as far back as possible . Makes the fish MUCH BIGGER . ๐
Even so , those fillets look pretty tasty .Pete . ๐
Not to take away from your suggestion , Kevin .
I know there’s nothing exactly like a face to face ( specifically at Portland ), but , seems we could do the next best thing here on the forum . I’m sure donations are always welcome .We’ve been sharing knowledge for years on other forums . ๐

What are you trying to say here ?
