I am lovin it!
Post some pics. sounds interesting What model Briggs would that be?
Thanks for the info. Looks like a great little scooter!
Did you draw a name for this yet?
Sold one of my frames. Still have one with crash bars and it will be at Portland.
Looks like I am still on for the Plain City meet. Mmanzara? Are you old Canadians still going?
Sounds real good! Nothing like new blood to bring passion to the table.
Maybe a couple of Simplex frames. One decent. One no crash bars.
Darren, Did you get your motor back yet for your Simplex mini bike?
It is official! I will be in Plain City for the show. Probably travel after work Thursday and be at the show Friday and Saturday. Cant wait!
Sounds like we are all on the same page. Like PD I also visit te site everyday. Working on putting a kicker on my 5hp briggs that powers my S2(second simplex). MManzara, we will have to introduce ourselves as I am planning on going to the Mid-Ohio meet also.
I got my magazine! Always makes me dream of being back in Portland. Definitly planning on Plain city too.(plus maybe a few others listed in the mag) I want to bring more scooters this year and should get looking for a bigger trailer. Besides both Simplexes I have two Sears bikes. 1966 Sears Sabre and a 1968 Twingle 250. Plus a plain Jane mini bike and a 1972 MTD mini bike. The MTD smokes out the tail pipe but I like it because it blows perfect smoke rings at times!!
Until they fall off! Actually I have cleaned all the mechanical parts of this bike and reassembled. Put two new tubes in and elected to run the tires as they are period correct(one may be original). Bike rides really nice. Tires do look sort of cracked (to say the least) but look better when blown up. Not planning on a full restoration. I like it just the way it is. No telling how many more years those tires have!!
but who was lucky enough to be sitting on the Simplex minibike? (far right)
